A judge has ruled that a patent infringement case filed against Google over its Toolbar product can proceed. NetJumper sued Google two years ago claiming that Google Toolbar infringed upon two of its patents. Google filed a motion for summary judgment and a judge in U.S. District Court in Michigan denied it last week. NetJumper claims Google's Web search toolbar infringes on its patents related to retrieving information through a browser. Google representatives did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment on Tuesday. Patent infringement lawsuits are pending against Google Earth and Google Talk.
