Justice Department v. Google court date postponed again

Google's courtroom date with the U.S. Justice Department has been delayed a second time.

U.S. District Judge James Ware in San Jose, Calif. on Friday postponed the hearing from March 13 to March 14 at 9:00 a.m PT.

The outcome will determine whether the Bush administration will prevail in its fight to force Google to help it defend an anti-pornography law in a trial in Philadelphia this fall.

Although the Justice Department also demanded that Yahoo, Microsoft and America Online hand over similar records, Google was the only recipient that chose to fight the subpoena in court.
