Calling all women bloggers

by

They already have a room of their own, and now they're getting a conference of their own: BlogHer 2005 will be held in Santa Clara, Calif., on Saturday.

It's billed as a networking opportunity for women bloggers to increase their exposure, education and community. As blogger Charlene Li, an analyst at Forrester Research, puts it: "The guys all know each other, but we don't...What do I want to get out of a (BlogHer Conference)? More leads to interesting women so that I can follow their writings and mention them in my blog." The agenda includes sessions on political blogging, activist blogging, blog design, monetizing blogging, and one called "How to get Naked" about the consequences of writing about your personal life.

Other sessions are on moblogging (mobile blogging), mommyblogging (obvious) and brownblogging (people of color).
