McNealy could get $2.5 million bonus

Sun Microsystems Chief Executive Scott McNealy could get a bonus of as much as $2.5 million for the company's fiscal 2006, which begins July 1, the company said in a regulatory filing Wednesday. Bonuses at the company are awarded on corporate performance goals regarding quarterly operating income, revenue growth for the fiscal year, and free cash flow for the fiscal year.

McNealy's salary for the current year is $100,000, but his bonus could be as much as 25 times that amount. Bonus for other executives at Sun range from 55 percent to 100 percent of salary under corporate performance measures approved last week for the fiscal year, the company said.
