Microsoft said Wednesday that it was boosting the pay for Kevin Johnson, the company's group vice president of worldwide sales.

In a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Microsoft said that, following the raise, Johnson will get a salary of $570,000 and also be eligible for a bonus of up to that same amount. In fiscal 2004, Johnson took home $480,336 in salary and a $435,000 bonus.

In addition, Johnson is part of Microsoft's Shared Performance Stock Award, in which he has a target award of nearly 700,000 shares of Microsoft stock, with the actual award dependent on reaching certain goals.
