Samsung files countersuit against Rambus

Following the Muhammad Ali theory of reciprocity ("He hit me, so I hit him back"), Korean electron giant Samsung has filed a countersuit against Rambus seeking declaratory relief action. Days ago, Rambus terminated a licensing agreement with Samsung and alleged in a court case that Samsung has infringed on its patents by producing a wide variety of computer memory chips. Rambus alleges in this suit and others that a huge portion of the memory produced in the last 10 years violates its patents for RDRAM.

Samsung was once Rambus' major boosters. Samsung, however, is publicly still committed to make XDR memory, designed by Rambus, for the Sony PlayStation3.
