Some of the networking problems that had been reported by Tiger users have been solved by the first update to the new Mac operating system.

Equinux said on its Web site that its VPN Tracker software is now Tiger-compatible thanks to the 10.4.1 update that Apple released on Monday. "As previously noted we have been working with Apple Computer to resolve a bug found in the kernel of Tiger 10.4.0," Equinux said. "After extensive testing by both Equinux and Apple Computer, this issue has been resolved and included in the 10.4.1 update."
