Waiting for the Force in the wrong place
Problem is, 20th Century Fox says "Star Wars: Episode III--Revenge of the Sith" will open at the ArcLight, a mile away.
Small detail to the faithful, according to Wednesday's Variety. They're determined to keep their vigil on Hollywood Boulevard, on account of false rumors that the previous two pics weren't going to open at the Chinese either.
This year, however, it looks like the rumors might be true. Fox and the ArcLight haven't finalized their "Star Wars" deal, but execs on both sides say they expect the sixth installment in the popular George Lucas series to play the ArcLight when it opens May 19.Sarah Sprague, a spokesperson for the camped-out fans, insists the line isn't moving to the ArcLight. "This is still the epicenter for 'Star Wars' fans," she insists of the famed Chinese Theater. "For the big iconic pictures of the 1970s, people lining up were here. They weren't at the Cinerama Dome."
Forty six days waiting in line at the wrong place...it's all in a day's work for a diehard "Star Wars" fiend.
