Machead Mac fans, known for their devotion to buying the latest and greatest from Apple Computer, are also apparently interested in themselves as well.

No Starch Press said Tuesday that Leander Kahney's coffee table book "The Cult of Mac" has sold out its first 10,000-copy press run, and another 10,000 books are in the works.

"We expected 'The Cult of Mac' to be a big seller. It's been generating buzz and excitement ever since we announced that the book was in development," No Starch Press founder Bill Pollock said in a statement.

The book looks at many facets that make up the Machead--including those that have literally become Mac heads by shaving Apple logos and other pro-Mac images into their hair. Also featured are images from an Ellen Feiss look-alike contest and details on the ill-fated Steve Jobs-for-president push.
