AT&T subscribers will be able to pick up Samsung's Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone for just under a buck.
The carrier announced Wednesday that it will offer the smaller version of the Galaxy S3 for 99 cents starting Friday, September 27. That price requires the usual two-year agreement. Eager buyers can preorder the phone via AT&T's Web site starting this Thursday, September 19.
"Our Galaxy family continues to grow and we're excited to offer the Galaxy S3 Mini as an option for customers seeking a premium smartphone experience at an outstanding value," Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of devices for AT&T, said in a statement.
Equipped with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S3 Mini offers a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of memory, and a 5-megapixel camera. The phone also comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and provides 4G LTE access.
AT&T also continues to expand its 4G LTE access. As of Wednesday, the high-speed network is now available in Torrington and Willimantic, Conn.; Fargo, N.D.; and Amarillo, Texas, according to AT&T.
