Nokia is out with another promo showing off the camera of its new Lumia 928 smartphone.
A spot posted on YouTube reveals a series of videos and photos taken by the phone under low-light conditions. One sequence shows a man dancing along a sidewalk at night. A second reveals a group of people in a dark dance hall. And another shows a girl on a swing in the evening hours.
The Lumia 928 comes with an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera and a powerful flash, which Nokia says gives it the edge over other smartphones.
Nokia has been spreading the word about the 928's camera through a series of spots comparing its capabilities with those of rival smartphones. One spot played up the camera's accuracy at recording video, while another promoted its ability to record live sound under less-than-ideal conditions.
The company recently told CNET that it would be amping up the advertising of the Lumia lineup to better duke it out with the competition.
"I think what you're going to be seeing," Nokia's global head of smart phone marketing, Vesa Jutila, told CNET, "not only from Nokia but also from our key partner Microsoft, is that we're going to be much more aggressively going head-to-head with competition."
The 928 is available through Verizon Wireless for $99 with the usual two-year contract.
