Twitter making it harder (sort of) to find porn on Vine

Unsurprisingly, there's plenty of porn on Twitter's new video service. It's just a little harder to find now that the company has blocked certain search terms. But plenty remain.

Although Twitter has blocked Vine search terms like "porn," it's still easy to find porn on the service by searching for terms like "nsfw."

As has been well reported, there's already an endless amount of porn on Vine, Twitter's new video service. But now, the social-networking company appears to be making it a bit harder to find the adults-only content.

According to The Verge, Twitter has blocked a number of porn-related Vine search terms such as "#porn." At the same time, though, it's clear that there are still plenty of ways to find people's 6-second sex tapes. For example, a search for "#nsfw," meaning not safe for work, resulted in no shortage of videos.

And while some of the resulting videos now require tapping on the screen to get past a warning that reads, "This post may contain sensitive content," they're still easy to find.

A Twitter spokesperson told CNET, "We're in the process of changing how users find and view sensitive content. We're experimenting with a number of approaches and will continue to iterate."
