Your music library to go with ZumoCast

Streaming music from your PC to your phone is a nice alternative to music locker services like MP3Tunes and mSpot, which require you to upload your music to a server on the Internet before you can access it on your phone. Simplify Media had a great iPhone app that performed this function, but Google bought the company earlier this year--presumably to integrate it into some sort of future music service for Android--and discontinued the iPhone app. I've been looking for a viable replacement ever since.

Today, I found it: ZumoCast. It's brought to you by the folks who … Read more

Garmin debuts Zumo 665 motorcyle GPS

LAS VEGAS--Most of our readers are pretty familiar with Garmin's Nuvi line of in-car GPS navigators, but most have never heard of the manufacturer's Zumo line of motorcycle GPS devices. At CES 2010, Garmin has added a new top-of-the-line model, the Zumo 665.

Both feature Bluetooth hands-free calling with A2DP stereo audio streaming.

Dig a little deeper and you'll find that … Read more

I guess I fit in with the average iPhone user to a certain extent. I have deleted apps that I thought were pretty cool in the beginning, but no longer catch my interest. But it might be different for me because I review apps, so I need … Read more

Garmin Zumo 660 built to guide bikers

In addition to the Nuvi 885T, Garmin introduced the Garmin Zumo 660 at CES 2009, a GPS designed for bikers by bikers. It's one of the few motorcycle-specific portable navigation devices available on the market (TomTom also makes one called the Rider), and brings a much-needed update to the Garmin Zumo 550, which was released almost two years ago.

The Zumo 660 sports a sleeker design similar to the Garmin Nuvi series but keeps the ruggedized and waterproof casing. It also features a larger 4.3-inch touch screen and has oversize icons so you can still use the device … Read more
