The startup will shut down its service to join Yahoo's video team. Evntlive, which launched in April 2013, aimed to "change the way that fans engage with live music online by creating an interactive, virtual venue," according to the site's blog post.
This time it's Ptch, a mobile video app that was funded by DreamWorks Animation. The iPhone app lets users create montage videos out of clips and photos. The service will shut down on January 2 so the startup's team can join Yahoo, Ptch announced Tuesday on its Web site. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Microsoft has been an outspoken critic of the National Security Agency's surveillance program, yet it has trailed behind other major tech companies in amping up its Internet encryption practices. However, that could soon change.
