T-Mobile launches Moto Krzr, Verizon picks up the Slvr

Don't think that T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless are taking a rest after the end of the CTIA show last week. A quick look at their Web sites today shows that both carriers have added new phones to their lineups. Though it's not a surprise T-Mobile stepped in to formerly offer the Motorola Krzr K1. The GSM version of the Krzr landed at Cingular/AT&T last month, while Sprint and Verizon introduced the CDMA Krzr K1m last year. T-Mobile's K1 is silver (Cingular opted for blue) but the feature set is standard including Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel … Read more

Slvr L7c on its way to Verizon

We predicted a couple months ago that the Verizon Wireless would get the Motorola Slvr L7c and now that Verizon's Testman Web site is showing a listing for the slim candy bar phone, we know it's definitely on its way. The site didn't show a picture the last time we looked so we don't know if it will be a different color from Sprint's version or Cingular's GSM model. But we do know it will offer the same trim design that has come to define Moto in the past year. Promised features include Bluetooth, … Read more

Motorola hits 3GSM with new phones

After a relatively low-key CES, Motorola pulled no punches in Barcelona and announced a new series of phones at the annual 3GSM show. Besides the GSM Q, which is big news by itself, Moto also unveiled more updated models to its powerhouse thin-phone lineup.

The Rizr Z8 incorporates the original Rizr's sexy design but adds its own unique "kick slide" form factor that cradles the head much like a flip phone does. Inside is quad-band world phone support, HSDPA compatibility, Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, an impressive 90MB of integrated memory, and a memory card slot.

Verizon to get Motorola Slvr L7c

Though Verizon Wireless has yet to announce officially that it will start offering the Motorola Slvr L7c, Motorola demonstrated such a phone this evening at a CES press event. Motorola reps declined to comment, but it's clear Verizon will join Sprint in offering the candy bar version of Moto's slim handset line. And in any case, bloggers have sighted the Slvr L7c on the carrier's prerelease Web site. Clad in silver, Verizon's Slvr L7c will be similar to both Sprint's model and the GSM Slvr L7 for Cingular. Features should include a VGA camera, Bluetooth, … Read more

Sprint launches Razr, Krzr

It's taken them a long time, but Sprint has finally decided that the still-popular Motorola Razr is a must-have. Today the carrier put on sale its signature versions of the Motorola Razr V3m and the Motorola Krzr K1m. Both handsets should share the same basic feature set and design as their Verizon counterparts, but Sprint promises that its exclusive Power Vision programming will be a strong differentiator. The Razr V3m is $49.99 with service, while the Krzr is a pricier $199 with service. Sprint already offers the special-edition red Razr V3m.

Though the Razr family is beginning to … Read more

The Slvr gets a facelift

Just when you thought there were enough iterations of the Razr and the Slvr (check out our Razr slide show to see what we mean), Motorola decides to pop out yet another Slvr in its thin-phone lineup. The MOTOSLVR L7e appears to be a more refined and much improved version of the Slvr L7. Not only did it have a face-lift in terms of a luscious blue hue and a different keypad design, a few upgraded features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, Stereo Bluetooth, EDGE support, and unique Push-to-talk and Push-to-view technology that allows instant connectivity with your friends. The … Read more

Motorola L2 the latest to go pink

Normally we're a fan of color choices for phones, but the Motorola L2's particular shade of pink is more Pepto-Bismol than My Little Pony, if you know what I mean.

If you haven't heard it before, pink is the new black. But what was once a hip and trendy color in the gadget world is now becoming quite cliche. But that hasn't stopped Motorola from rolling out a its pink version of the L2, an entry-level version of the Slvr L7 and the Slvr L6. Aside from the color, everything else remains the same: the slim … Read more
