All but one episode in Season 5 included one of our Future Tech installments. However, our favorite of the bunch got … Read more
Let there be light. And if it can't be light from the sun, let it be light from a giant LED orb.
Visual artists Lisa Pacini and Christine Istad -- who, living in Norway, know from dark, sunless days -- decided to bring the sun to places that don't see much of it during winter. They created a light sculpture full of LEDs, suspended it from a hanger above a flatbed trailer pulled by a truck, and drove it through Norway, filming onlookers' reactions (spoiler alert: it made people very happy).
Always On is back for its fifth season! Yep, five seasons without a slouch. Let's just say it feels pretty awesome. We've only just begun story hunting, and we already have an impressive multitude of material. Rumor has it that drones, music festivals, and maybe even a TV torture test are in the mix for the next couple months. But let's get on with it!
I'd just like to start by pointing out that getting hosed down by a fireman in Vail, Colo., after a mud run is actually not as fun as it sounds, or as fun as we made it look. For one thing, the water is freezing. And for another, watch that jerk fireman spray me right in the face at 2:33. I am still mad about that!
OK, moving on. This season was filled with fun and flubs all over America, and even though our jet-setting lives look like nothing but fun in the sun, we found out that … Read more
Season 4 was definitely the most fun we've had since Always On started one year ago. That being said, we're hitting the road in hopes of making next season give Season 4 a run for its money. In the meantime, here's our three favorite stories from the last couple months.
We couldn't help but notice Jeff's perma-smile and what seemed like an emotional journey back to his childhood when he visited NASA in Texas. Driving the SEV with an astronaut who's spent more than a month in space can have that effect on a … Read more
A flock of Angry Birds is heading for Nintendo this summer.

Angry Birds maker Rovio revealed the news in a promotional video posted on YouTube on Wednesday. The promo dives into the usual angry gameplay but caps off by displaying boxed sets of the trilogy for both of Nintendo's game consoles.
Rovio promises 140 hours of gameplay across 30 episodes, while the promo touts 40 hours of "bonus" gameplay. … Read more
With the release of 15 new episodes of "Arrested Development" on Netflix, one of the show's fans has taken it upon himself to re-edit the entire season in what he calls "chronological order." He has released downloadable episodes of his version of the show on Reddit via Mega.
Going by the name morphinapg, this fan took apart all the episodes and then put them back together again for a different interpretation of Season 4. He added new titles, like "Take to the Sea," "Get Away, Getaway," and "The Fantastic Four," along with different summaries for each episode.… Read more
This week's episode kicks off with our first ever unboxing performed in a motorcycle club. Yep, we went down to Piston and Chain in San Francisco to get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The 8-inch tablet sure is pretty, but with a hefty price tag it will have a tough battle against its strongest competitor, the iPad Mini. However, the Note 8 should expect a road test from the Always On crew in the very near future.
Welcome to Season 4, everyone! It's only been a few weeks since we said goodbye, but it's felt like a lifetime. We've been busy planning and shooting the upcoming summer season, and seeking out the tech wonders of the world to keep the Always On train in constant motion. This season we've got it all! We'll be road-tripping in pimped-out RVs, opening up the biggest phablets of them all, road testing everything from the Chromebook Pixel to action cameras with motorcross pros, and even visiting NASA's newest space exploration vehicles. Plus a serious summer … Read more
