Twitter has purchased open-source technology training company Marakana to lead a just-established effort called "Twitter University," the companies' jointly announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Over the past 10 years, Marakana has developed courses on Android, Java, HTML5, Scala, Python, Hadoop, and jQuery and has instructed more than 100,000 engineers, founders Marko and Sasa Gargenta said in a blog post.
