PriceGrabber exec: Do homework before gift-buying (podcast)

It seems as if everyone is looking for a holiday gift bargain this year, but the lowest price isn't always your best choice. To help consumers navigate their way through both online and brick and mortar stores, I spoke with PriceGrabber.com President Steve Krenzer.

PriceGrabber for Android enhances shopping on the go

Popular online shopping site PriceGrabber.com recently released an update to its Android app, which now gives shopaholics on the go a more feature-rich browsing and buying experience.

First, browsing through products is now a little bit easier; you can view enlarged product images, read detailed product descriptions, and evaluate product offers for new, used, or refurbished items. Also, there's now built-in sharing functionality for when you stumble on items perfect for a family member or friend. The app can share product information through e-mail, SMS, Facebook, or Twitter.

PriceGrabber releases free Android app

PriceGrabber.com expanded its mobile portfolio beyond the iPhone on Tuesday when it released its Android application. The free title, which is available in the Android Market, offers many of the shopping tools found on the company's Web site. At its core is the ability to search the massive catalog spanning millions of products from thousands of merchants. Other features include product reviews from users and experts and the capability to purchase items directly from the handset. It's also possible to create a "wish list" with your favorite products.

I've mentioned in the past that I'm a frequent Slickdeals and Fatwallet user. The two are must-bookmark sites if you want to stay abreast on big savings for consumer electronics.
