Sony is widely expected to reveal the first details of its next game console later today.

The "PlayStation Meeting 2013" event will take place in New York at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. Everyone is eager to learn about the rumored iPad Mini, but today's tech news roundup looks at what else Apple will be announcing.
