AT&T rolling out HSUPA update to HTC Inspire 4G, Moto Atrix 4G

HTC Inspire 4G and Motorola Atrix 4G owners, your slow-upload woes are almost over.

AT&T just sent CNET a note letting us know that it has started rolling out an update for the Inspire 4G that will enable the HSUPA radio on the smartphone, along with a number of other bug fixes and performance improvements. The carrier has completed testing on the update for the Atrix 4G as well and will begin deploying the software soon.

AT&T boosts wireless network speeds

AT&T's wireless network has just gotten a little faster.

The company announced on Wednesday that enhancements to its HSPA, or High Speed Packet Access, third-generation cellular network will allow wireless laptop users to upload and download content from the Internet faster than they can with 3G services from other carriers.

AT&T to supercharge wireless network

AT&T to expand 3G wireless network

AT&T said Wednesday that it's expanding its third-generation wireless broadband footprint and completing the upgrade of its network to the fastest 3G technology available.

The company is expanding its current 3G network to cover more than 80 additional cities in the U.S. this year. The new network, which will add 1,500 new cell sites, will put AT&T's 3G network in nearly 350 U.S. markets, including the top 100 markets, by the end of 2008.

Fujitsu adds HSUPA to notebooks

Road warriors and geeks without power rejoice: soon you'll be able to buy a laptop that's equipped to tap into AT&T's BroadbandConnect High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) network. Today Fujitsu announced that it would be adding the high-speed cellular data connection as an option on its UMPC-like LifeBook U810 and its 12.1-inch ultraportable tablet, the LifeBook T2010.
