WaterField's double-duty iPhone 4 Wallet

While many of the iPhone 4 cases fit the 4S, case manufacturers are seeing the arrival of the 4S as a good opportunity to introduce new designs.

WaterField Designs, which is known for its high-quality sleeves for laptops and iPads, has just released a leather wallet that also does double-duty as an iPhone case. It's simply called the iPhone Wallet ($39) and it has a window (and sound port) that allows you to "see and hear your iPhone."

If you want something a little trimmer, WaterField's also serving up the iPhone Hint ($25), which the company … Read more

Apple patent adds clues to streaming music service

A patent application released this morning has provided clues to features Apple might add to iTunes and iOS to make entire music libraries take up less space on mobile devices with limited storage.

U.S. patent application No. 20110118858, which was unearthed by Apple Insider earlier today, details a system where segments of music clips from a user's library are stored locally on a device. When combined with an infrastructure that can fetch the rest of a song once it starts being played, this could provide users with a seamless music listening experience of their entire library, even without … Read more

Apple has removed a WikiLeaks app from its App Store just a few short days after its release.

Launched on December 17, the $1.99 WikiLeaks App offered access to the whistleblower site and the @wikileaks Twitter stream and was described as providing "'instant access to the world's most documented leakage of top secret memos and other confidential government documents," according to a Google cached version of the site provided by TechCrunch. The app was created by a third-party development firm called Hint Solutions, which lists Igor Barinov as its general manager.

Its colorful, professional design was matched by a fantastic tutorial that taught us the rules and nuances of the game. This single-human, three-computer-player game was quick to pick up and fun to play. We enjoyed choosing … Read more

One reader pointed out that … Read more
