Mercedes-Benz releases crowdsourced stunt videos

Awhile back, Mercedes-Benz asked Facebook fans what stunts they wanted filmed while on set for the new commercial promoting the 2012 C63 AMG Coupe and the C63 AMG Sedan.

According to Mercedes, the requests came flooding in. Today the wait is over. The German automaker posted three videos demonstrating the winning requests.

The stunts were done with professional drivers on closed lots. And shortly after the videos were posted.

Mercedes releases boring iPhone app for exciting car

Mercedes-Benz AMG is the next automaker to join the battle for customers' attention in the Apple iTunes App Store. Except while the other automakers have built apps that actually do something aside from advertise cars (for example, Audi's game and Ford's photo editor), Mercedes-Benz's app does nothing more than showcase the C63 AMG.

The main menu of the application features four options: Video, Photos, Sounds, Specs, and Find a Dealer.

Mercedes C250 BlueEfficiency gets 45 mpg

The gamut of models spanned by the Mercedes C-class just got a little wider. On one end, you have the CNET Editors' Choice C63 AMG, a rip snorting beast with a 405 horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 that chugs gasoline at a rate of 16.2 mpg. Way down on the other end is the newly announced C250 CDI BlueEfficiency Prime Edition, a 204 horsepower four-cylinder that gingerly sips diesel at a rate of 45 mpg.
