Today on Buzz Out Loud we are joined by the Rumor Has It girls Karyne Levy and Emily Dreyfuss. The Galaxy Nexus has crash landed in America and SOPA is set for a vote on amendments today in the Washington. We play a round of Into It..Not Into It and discuss what the world searched on Google in 2011.
We start off the show today to announce that Karyne is already losing the betting war. The "Twilight" debacle from last week did nothing to deter the Universe from making sure that she loses. Every. Single. Time.
But somewhere out there, a man named Torod Neptune is walking around, and that somehow makes everything OK.
For our very special end-of-the-year show next week, we'll cover the proven rumors, debunked rumors, and most annoying rumors of 2011. If you have any suggestions, let us know.
On this week's show, Verizon looks to take over video streaming; the iPad 3 may come out in March, April, May, or June; Nokia and Microsoft are sluts; and Emily and Karyne share the same favorite number!
Wow, today Rumor Has It goes crazy. Things get weird. (But weird in the best possible way.)
It's the first show of the month, which means it is Humiliation Day, and Karyne lost yet again! Emily celebrates by trying out a new accent, and it's not Russian! But then Karyne sort of wins by somehow roping Stephen and Emily into her embarrassing punishment. Everyone is mortified.
After the shenanigans, we discuss Windows 8, laugh at the reported name of RIM's new phone, scoff at the rumored price of the Apple television, and oh man, what doesn't … Read more
That's it. The month is up, and Karyne is losing the betting war.
But you know who's really losing the war? Acer, with its ridiculous leaked video promo for the Acer Iconia Tab A200. What's with that barfy piano music?
Also this week, we celebrate our 10th episode, laugh at HTC's obvious obviousness, give the 15-inch MacBook Air the 2-minute duck timer, and determine that if Apple releases an iPad 3D, we quit.… Read more
Spinal Tap ruined Karyne's life last week, and now she's losing the betting round this month.
She has one more week to get two points, or else it's her turn (once again) to embarrass herself. So put on your thinking caps, and send in your suggestions for the show of shame.
On this week's show, we learn how to pronounce Asus (kinda), the Facebook phone is one step closer to truth, the Amazon phone might be, too, and the Xbox 720 has Emily rescinding her vote. … Read more
Box.net announced today a project called Box Innovation Network, which taps into developer communities and cloud technology partners to encourage development of enterprise software. The goal is to create a "vibrant ecosystem" for enterprise like Facebook did for social.
That's ambitious. A network for cloud-based software isn't nearly as spine-tingling as a new social network.
"Nothing will be cooler [than Facebook] for sharing photos with my grandmother and this isn't as sexy as daily deals," says Aaron Levie, the energetic CEO and founder of Box.net (now going by "Box"). &… Read more
The month is almost up, and Karyne is beating Emily by a smidge. With only two shows left, however, it's time to start thinking of embarrassing things for Emily to do when she loses.
On this week's show, we cry over CDs going the way of the dodo; we laugh about Staples selling the PlayBook for $199; Google Music is going to 11, whatever that means, at an event on Wednesday; and according to nobody, the iPad 3 will be able to fly.
Things are heating up in the Twitter wars, too! Stephen, at the time of the … Read more
Karyne may be up a point on the Rumor board, but I'm winning where it actually counts: on Twitter.
As of this writing, I have 232 followers and Karyne has 223.
OK, you can stop laughing now.
We realize, of course, that those numbers are embarrassingly low. So follow us, guys! (@EmilyDreyfuss, @karynelevy, @RumorShow.) Our new high-stakes side bet is who can get to 500 first. Maybe the lucky 500th follower of the winner will get a prize!
The rumors on today's show are of the spiciest variety: sightings of the first quad-core phone (which some people really don't want); two new iPads in 2012; all-new Apple products next year (huzzah); and Siri may ruin my life by coming to old iOS devices. … Read more
October is over, which means today was humiliation day on Rumor Has It. Since Karyne made every single wrong bet she could last month, she lost (not only this round of bets, but her dignity, as well).
But wearing the costume on the show wasn't enough; she actually wore it out on the big bad streets of San Francisco. Check out the video below to see how that went. Hint: Nobody on the big bad streets of San Francisco seems to notice when there's someone nearby who's dressed like a banana.
Also this week, we take a look at next week's Barnes & Noble announcement, Google jumps into music and original content, we mourn the loss of an Apple product that not many people care about, and mildly celebrate the birth of another Apple product that we don't really care about. Oh, and bendy phones are a thing that we'll probably break.

This week, we explain why Google is petty and doesn't want Yahoo to find true love; we learn what a G-Stream is; Sony may take its PS4 cues from game developers; and Apple might ruin Karyne's life by making her buy yet another power cord.
The show opens with no movement on the points board, and you know what that means: I'm going to win this month, and Karyne has to go on air next week dressed as Little Bo Peep. That is going to be my favorite day ever! If you guys have a better idea for something she should wear, leave ideas in the comments section. Anything that's better than Bo Peep shall be considered.… Read more
