A growing thread on the Apple Support Discussions forum suggests that FaceTime for Apple's iPad 2 may not be working as expected. The issue, which occurs during video calls made with Apple's FaceTime, may be a bug in iOS 4.3, not limited to iPad 2 owners.

I have an iPad 2...case

I haven't even decided if I'm getting an iPad 2, but at least I can say I've seen a case for one.

Targus' 360-degree Rotating Stand, which arrived at my desk early this morning, boasts "iPad second-generation" support right on the box. The rear plastic cradle has appropriate cut-outs for the larger speaker, as well as the rear camera lens.

Hands-on with FaceTime for Mac

With two brand new MacBook Pro laptops in hand, one of the first things we did was fire up the new FaceTime for Mac app and try calling each other from across the office.

The app is part of Apple's new-ish Mac App Store, and costs 99-cents, but it was pre-loaded on our pair of MacBook Pro review systems.

FaceTime for Mac out of beta

Mac owners can now download FaceTime for video chats with friends.

Apple said today that FaceTime for Mac is available in its Mac App Store for 99 cents. With the help of the app, those using Mac OS X Snow Leopard can engage in video chats with people using the FaceTime app on the iPhone 4, the latest iPod Touch, and other Macs.

Apple first announced FaceTime for Mac back in October. At the time, the software was in beta. As of today, it is officially out of beta.

Rumor: Apple's iPad 2 ships from Foxconn in 100 days

According to sources in Taiwan talking to DigiTimes, Apple's initial shipments of the much-anticipated iPad 2 are 100 days away with expected stock levels to be between 400,000 and 600,000.
