Is that a Canon 5D Mark III which I see before me?

Photographer Stephen Oachs didn't go to Kenya to take product photos, but he might have gotten a doozy anyway--shots of an unreleased but highly anticipated Canon SLR.

It's not clear what exactly Oachs found, but he posted photos of the apparent Canon SLR on his blog for those who want to take a guess. The usual caveats about prototypes and other uncertainties apply, of course, but it's definitely possible that he stumbled across a prototype of the Canon 5D Mark III.

This year's CES was pretty dismal for anyone interested in wireless. Sure, AT&T had some good stuff and the Microsoft launched the LTE Windows Phone 7. But other than that, most people would've been better off hitting the snooze button.

LAS VEGAS--T-Mobile USA may be down, but it's not out.

T-Mobile struck a defiant tone today and is making sure to be heard: At the Consumer Electronics Show the company unveiled its latest high-end smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, Samsung Galaxy-class handset. It also said it has expanded its HSPA+ network, which it calls 4G, to 12 additional markets, and added mobile instant-messaging capabilities to its Internet-based Bobsled service.

HTC Titan II drops jaws with 16MP camera, 4.7-in screen

LAS VEGAS--HTC should be feeling pretty proud of itself right about now.

This morning at CES, the smartphone maker managed to bag two U.S. firsts. Not only was its Titan II the first to announce the world's first 4G LTE Windows Phone, but it also contains the highest-megapixel smartphone camera we've heard of stateside, a 16-megapixel whopper.

AT&T strikes first with 4G LTE Windows Phones from Nokia, HTC

LAS VEGAS--AT&T customers, rejoice! The carrier just announced that the first 4G LTE Windows Phone smartphones are headed to the U.S. in the first half of the year.

HTC, Nokia, and Microsoft all joined AT&T on stage at the Developer Summit to introduce their devices to the crowd, starting with the HTC Titan II. The HTC Titan II holds the title of having the largest display of any global Windows Phone at 4.7 inches, and it also has a 16-megapixel (!!) camera.

AT&T's HTC Titan II produces LTE, 16-megapixel camera whopper

LAS VEGAS--Listen up, you LTE lovers across America. The HTC Titan is getting a faster brother.

The cleverly named HTC Titan II, announced this morning at AT&T's CES press conference, is almost identical to the Windows Phone handset we got in November, but with two major new features.

The first is support for AT&T's growing 4G LTE network. The second is a rear-facing camera capable of capturing a whopping 16 megapixels, double what we're seeing on most high-end camera phones out there right now.

Frosty white Samsung Galaxy S II coming to Sprint

Just when I thought the white smartphone craze had died down, Samsung says it plans to bring a pearly version of the Galaxy S II to Sprint for $199 on January 8.
