Thanks for watching Loaded today. We will be off Monday for the long Fourth of July weekend. Why we get off July 5 when the holiday is a day earlier, I am not quite sure. But I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth! Have a happy and safe Independence Day!

Just in time for Father's Day, T-Mobile has announced a one-of-a-kind deal to take place on Saturday: for only one day, every single phone in every T-Mobile store across the nation will be free. The catch? A family plan is required; either sign up for a new one, or add another line to an existing plan. Individual plan subscribers are out of luck.
And when T-Mobile says every phone, it means every phone. This even includes recent smartphones like the myTouch 3G Slide, the HTC HD2, and the Garminfone. Of course, the phones are only available while supplies last, … Read more

It is funny how much meaning gets lost in translation on the Internet, especially when it comes to humor or levity. I was behind the idea of the SarcMarc, a new form of punctuation that conveys sarcasm. I just don't think people will upgrade their keyboard to use it.

With roughly a month to go before its expected launch, the myTouch 3G Slide rumors and leaks have kicked into high gear.
A fresh batch of details found its way online over the weekend thanks to a source at Android and Me. Apparently T-Mobile and HTC recently gave out several hundred of these handsets to T-Mobile employees for testing and feedback. This source was among one of those lucky folks and was only too happy to provide details about the phone.
As we mentioned last weekend, the T-Mobile MyTouch Slide appears to be on the fast-track for a mid-May release. A handful of leaked photos have appeared recently online, indicating production-ready phones are being used and tested.
The latest batch of pictures coming out of TmoNews shows a handset running Android 2.1 with the Espresso build of the HTC Sense user interface. This would be T-Mobile's first Android handset with 2.1 at launch.
After a handful of missteps and false starts, another over-the-air update for the Motorola Cliq has started rolling out. It's not the Android 2.1 update that many are hoping for, but it is a minor maintenance release with generally undetectable changes.
Designed to improve features like battery life, widget response, GPS, Bluetooth, and touch-screen sensitivity, version 1.4.8 should hit all Cliq handsets this weekend. You should also see fewer "force close" error messages and you'll get support for a couple of new elements, notably .WMA and WAV audio files and Microsoft Office 2007 … Read more
So let's say you've got an iPhone. And let's say that you don't like it. Let's say you're a person who wants to switch from the iPhone life to the Windows Phone 6.5 life. T-Mobile has a plan to make that happen.
We're not sure how popular this plan is going to be, but we do know that it's legit and it's aggressive: T-Mobile is offering up to a $350 trade-in on iPhones for those who want to get the carrier's own HTC HD2.
