Kodak EasyShare Mini camera announced

It's tough to judge just how small the Kodak EasyShare Mini is from the photo here. It's actually the same height and width as a credit card; it's not that much thicker than one either. That's pretty amazing considering this 10-megapixel camera still has a 29mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with 3x zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD.

The Mini doesn't do much beyond basics, though you do get Kodak's sharing features and some creative photo and video modes. It also has a built-in front mirror for self portraits.

Every manufacturer should really have a touch-screen pocket camera in its 2011 lineup and Kodak's is the EasyShare Touch. It's a 14-megapixel ultracompact with a 3-inch touch screen and a 28mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom.

Kodak EasyShare Sport waterproof camera announced

Rugged and waterproof cameras are growing segments of the point-and-shoot market, but most of them will cost you more than $200. The 12-megapixel Kodak EasyShare Sport, however, is less than $100 and is waterproof down to 10 feet. Unfortunately, the camera is otherwise unremarkable.

Despite the appearance of a zoom rocker on back, there is no optical zoom on this camera; it's digital zoom only. The LCD on back is small at 2.4 inches, too, and the Sport seems to have a bare minimum of shooting options.

Gift idea: 'Eye-Fi' moves photos to MacBook, PC

Though Eye-Fi's Secure Digital (SD) card has been out there for a couple of years, it's worth revisiting--just because it works. And it's not a bad idea as a holiday gift for any digital camera owner.

Eye-Fi allows the transfer of photos from existing digital cameras wirelessly. A nice piece of inexpensive technology that has worked well for me.

Eye-Fi SD cards come in 4GB and 8GB capacities and, after a relatively painless setup, do away with USB cables and the task of inserting/removing of SD cards.

Wow. Today's Cowboom deal is downright spectacular. I'm almost hesitant to post it because I know it'll sell out quickly. Anywhere, here goes.

Meet Kodak's newest flagship all-in-one printer, the ESP 9250

Kodak's new ESP 9250 all-in-one inkjet printer replaces the ESP 9 as its flagship printer for the Fall season. After the ESP 9 received poor user reviews for suffering installation errors and poor customer service, we're hoping that the 9250 can step it up, but let's take a closer look.

First, the control panel gets a good scrubbing and we're happy to see Kodak abandoning the Tron-esque virtual buttons in favor of a physical control panel, but the display steps down to a 2.4-inch LCD, as opposed to 3-inches on the ESP 9.

As usual, the printer gives you the standard array of features you get in a multifunction printer including Wi-Fi, a full media card report with support for SD, MS, Duo, and CompactFlash cards, two separate trays for letter-sized and 4x6-inch photo paper, and and auto-document feeder for scanning and faxing large volumes of paper.

In addition, the ESP 9250 is the first model to offer printable templates that you can access through Kodak's EasyShare photo organizing software. The templates make it easy to print out almost any design including graph paper, line paper, wide ruled paper, games, grocery lists, and sheet music.

Kodak pops out PlayTouch minicamcorder

Kodak's Zi8 has been one of the best mini camcorders available since it launched in 2009.
