MacFixIt reader "Dennis S." writes in to tells us about a solution he found to his Epson scanner not working properly after the Mac OS X 10.5.8 update.

Workaround for OS X 10.5.8 wireless problems

A workaround has cropped up for people who're affected by wireless problems with the latest OS update. This workaround requires you to have a copy of an OS X 10.5.7 installation, so you can grab a few kernel extension files from it for use with 10.5.8.

Yesterday we found that some laptop owners who applied the 10.5.8 system update were having difficulties connecting to their WiFi networks. Microsoft Releases Office 2008 12.2.1 update

Microsoft has released a small update to Office 2008 that addresses a problem in the recently released service pack 2 for Office, where users cannot open some Office documents.

A number of people are experiencing problems with their wireless network connections after updating to 10.5.8.
