Lamborghini laptops rev up again

If you're like most Crave readers, we assume that you want all the appropriate accoutrements for the Lamborghini resting comfortably in your garage. (That's what we tell our advertisers, anyway.) So we do our level best to keep you abreast of the latest technologies that bear the family name, such as the just-released "VX2" new generation of Asus laptops.

As the Gadgets Weblog points out, Asus has provided scant details in the specs department, so we don't know how much of an improvement the new version is over its maiden line. But let's face … Read more

A Hummer to terrorize the golf course

Once you've reached your golden years, that's no reason to put all your toys away--you just may have to find other ways to show them off. Nokia does Lamborghini edition

In the hypercompetitive phone market, Nokia has apparently decided to take an Uzi-style approach and shoot at any design that moves. In the last few days alone, we've seen a "Powder Pink" model with a rotating display, a "Diamond Edition" in 24k gold and, now, a limited-run Lamborghini handset.

But Nokia does make one original claim, according to luxury blog Sybarites: "This … Read more

You're in luck, Sparky: ASUS, maker of the rumored Prada laptop, is rolling out a new Lamborghini notebook in head-turning bright yellow with black interior and suede-trimmed black case. I4U News says the machine has some go as well as show, with a 2GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive to go with its 15.4-inch LCD screen.

Is that enough to justify a $2,800 sticker price? Remember, it is a Lamborghini. But be warned: If your neighbor pulls up … Read more

Versace burns rubber

In case you missed it a few weeks ago, Lamborghini launched its Murcielago LP640 in a Versace edition.

The central console, roof panel, seats, lower dash and inside of its doors are all covered in full-grain napa leather using the Greek fret motif (concentric rectangles) that Versace has made famous.

The car was shown at the Paris Auto Show in Isis White, and at Milan Fashion Week in Aldebaran black. The car, which will be produced in a limited edition of 10, will come with a series of Versace Couture (handmade) accessories, according to Lamborghini. (I'm assuming luggage.)
