As expected, HTC officially took the wraps off the HTC Touch Diamond at a press conference in London Tuesday and great googly moogly, does this thing look hot! Not only does it look sexy from the outside with its sleek, black casing, but the Touch Diamond also features a revamped TouchFlo 3D interface that gives you a more animated and easier way to access your contacts, messages, and other content. You can do all this via the Diamond's gorgeous 2.8-inch, 680x480 VGA (yes, that's right, VGA) touch screen; plus, there's a new touch-sensitive control below the … Read more
Fact: HTC will hold a press conference in London tomorrow (May 6) to make an announcement that will highlight the "next wave of HTC innovation." Rumor: the company is expected to introduce the HTC Touch Diamond, the next-gen HTC Touch, as well as a couple of other possible smartphones. Now, we're not really ones to gossip but chances are fairly good that the Touch Diamond will, in fact, show its pretty face tomorrow.
A few years ago--specifically, after Sept. 11, 2001--something like a jewel-studded gas mask would have been considered to be in poor taste, to say the least. And it still is, in our opinion, but that doesn't count for much when you're talking about obscenely expensive designer items showcased at the Luxury Show 2008 in Bucharest. That was, after all, the site of such egregiousness as a 24k-plated Hummer.
The gems pictured here are the products of artist Diddo Velema' along with Gucci and Louis Vuitton, according to Dvice, some even encrusted with diamonds. Velema explains the concept thusly: &… Read more
Austrian designer and jeweler Peter Aloisson is no stranger to over-the-top customized handsets, but he surprisingly wasn't the first to create a diamond-studded iPhone. That distinction was claimed last year by Amosu and its 420-stone model, which listed for $41,225.
But he's come back with a vengeance in releasing his own version, the "Princess Plus"--so named because nearly half of its 318 diamonds have square princess cuts, as opposed to the more common round stones. The 17.75 carats of rock set, in 18 white gold around the edge of the phone, has pushed … Read more
All too often Crave comes across various goods that are festooned--or infected--with all manner of bling, real or otherwise. We usually try to stay focused on gadgets but, every once in awhile, something non-digital comes along that we just can't resist. This is one of those times.
Italian design house Teknobili has created a bathroom faucet covered with 292 diamonds, according to Trendir. Fortunately no price was listed for the "Oz Diamond Edition," because we just had breakfast.
It's probably just coincidence, but the timing of this offering from luxury phone maker Vertu is interesting. Just yesterday we noted the resemblance between its handsets and those of rival Obsession, and today that perception was reinforced by Vertu's new "Signature Yellow & White Diamonds" model.
True to form, the company spared little expense in creating this handmade tart, embedding 2.4 carats of yellow diamonds another 4.4 carats of white diamonds in its 18k gold case, according to Sybarites. Even the battery cover is adorned with yellow diamond studs.
Not surprisingly, this is yet … Read more

If cobalt blue represents one end of the fashion spectrum for the DS Lite, then this snakeskin version is definitely at the other.
Another victim of the designer trend run amok, this Diamond Python by Japanese artist Mayumi Hasegawa is designed to fit the poor handheld gamer, according to Newlanches, hopefully not too snugly as to squeeze the life out of it. Then again, that might be preferable than having to wear something as hideous as this.
If you're really a glutton for punishment--or simply have horrible taste--you can get skins that cover both the top and bottom for … Read more
With the MacBook Air about to descend upon the masses, it's time to think about a valise that's appropriate for this piece of techno-royalty. But what to do if you weren't amused by the "AirMail" envelope and aren't thrilled with more conventional alternatives?
Dupont has the answer. The luxury goods concern is releasing the "S.T. Dupont Diamond," a limited-edition handmade travel case to mark its 135th anniversary. Although it's not a computer case per se, it can still do the job while also serving as a laptop stand--one that's … Read more
