Animoto's slideshow tool gets video support

Music video slideshow tool Animoto is venturing into new territory Tuesday night with an upgraded tool that supports video clips. Alongside photos, users can now upload videos up to 200MB in size, including segments that are in high definition. These exist seamlessly beside the photo content, and get the same Animoto treatment with transparency effects, reflections, and other eye candy.

We've been impressed with Diigo, a content sharing and bookmarking tool. It pulls double duty as a way to clip things from the Web, as well as share them with others. What makes the service really interesting is that you can use it to grab entire Web pages, and make annotations right on top of the content. Then you can share it with others, or view it even when the source site is no longer there, like a personal archive.

Mediocre virtual desktop

Video Desktop Dream Scape allows users to create up to six different virtual desktops and play videos on them. Although the program contains some cool features, we were frustrated by the directionless interface and vague Help file.

The program opens and users are confronted with a small box with buttons numbered 1 through 6, as well as buttons with a camera, a gear (obviously the settings), and a play button.
