Viewsonic says it can do 120Hz, too

In a room much too dark to use my iPhone camera to take decent pictures (my main camera's battery died and I could not find a charger) Viewsonic showed off its answer (or perhaps question depending on which began conception first) to Samsung's 22-inch SyncMaster 2233RZ, the 22-inch Viewsonic FuHzion VX2265wm.

Viewsonic's 1080p TV for your kitchen

This certainly isn't the first time we've seen a monitor with identity issues, but Viewsonic at least gets current HDTV marketing strategies correct by making the VT2430 24-inch LCD monitor HDTV full HD with a 1080p resolution.

Along with the VT2430's 1,920x1,080 resolution you get a 1,000:1 contrast ratio (10,000:1 DCR) and 5ms response time as well as of course an integrated ATSC/QAM TV tuner and connectivity options including a single HDMI 1.3 input with high-definition content protection (HDCP), component, S-video, composite, and RGB analog inputs.

Viewsonic demos 120Hz desktop LCD at NVISION 2008

Viewsonic showed off a 22-inch, 120Hz desktop LCD display prototype at NVISION 2008 on Monday in San Jose, Calif.

While most computer LCD displays refresh at 60Hz, the Viewsonic prototype achieves virtually double the refresh rate, which can be beneficial when watching a movie. Since the 24 frames per second (fps) framerate that film is shot at can be evenly divided into 120Hz, it makes for a smoother framerate than what you get with a 60Hz display, especially during action scenes.

Twnety-six-inch displays are not the most common size of monitor out there, but Viewsonic is doing their part in changing that. Today they announced the Viewsonic VA2626mw for a price of $530. This price makes it cheaper than Dell's 24-inch model, but still more expensive than some of the others we've reviewed. I mean you are getting two extra inches here, though...

ViewSonic's high-res 19-inch monitor

Display maker ViewSonic has announced what it claims is the highest resolution 19-inch LCD panel on the market today.

While the price will be announced closer to its launch date, ViewSonic's VX1940w is expected to appeal to those who have a limited desktop area but need a high-resolution screen for viewing multiple windows comfortably. ViewSonic's PC-TV monitors look the part

TVs and PCs may be taking their own sweet time to morph into one appliance, but some designs are starting to betray the romance. Case in point: ViewSonic's new "Diamani DUO" series (dynamic duo?) are meant to be used both as a desktop monitor and an LCD TV, in 19- and 22-inch models with 1,440x900 and 1,680x1050 respective resolutions.

Because your monitor needs crystals too

Well, that should teach us. Just minutes after making sport of Swarovski, we came across yet another another category of products that the infectious crystals are attacking: computer screens.

ViewSonic, a respectable manufacturer, has apparently succumbed to market madness by allowing customers to "beautify and customize" their LCDs with "original Swarovski crystals," according to PCLaunches. (As opposed to unoriginal ones?) And you can scream bad taste in grand fashion with a full 22-inch widescreen with 1680x1050 resolution. But you might have to wear sunglasses to cut down on the crystal reflection.
