Now that the iPhone madness has died down, we can all stop talking about Apple for a minute and just relax.
iPad rumors are at full force, which makes sense, since iPad day is rumored to be just around the corner. Speculations run the gamut from it looking similar to an iPad Mini, it being lighter and thinner, and it staying the same 9.7-inch size.
Also this week, Google makes me feel really old fashioned, but I'm OK with that.

Laugh all you want, fuzzball, but Google is changing how YouTube uploaders manage comments on their videos. The new system, which began rolling out to a limited number of uploaders on Tuesday, favors relevancy over recency and introduces enhanced moderation tools.
The new commenting system, which is powered by Google+ and was developed in collaboration between the YouTube and Google+ teams, provides several new tools for moderation, said Nundu Janakiram, product manager at YouTube. It will default to showing YouTube viewers the most relevant comments first, such as those by the video uploader or channel owner.

NEW YORK -- Andy Forssell, the acting chief executive of Hulu and its senior vice president of content, didn't say much about the $750 million that his online-television site received from its owners this year, but it's clearly been the talk of content developers.

Music videos are no small potatoes for YouTube, and Google's looking at making them bigger in Google Search results -- literally.
As part of Google's quest to more tightly integrate its different services, the company appears to be experimenting with how music videos appear in Google Search results, according to the blog Google Operating System. The top search result for a music video would be a significantly larger preview of the video itself, in the style of a Google Now card, with additional information such as the artist name, song title, album name, and year released.

As YouTube prepares offline video watching for a November update, it details for its partners how the feature will work, as well as indicating some fuzzy red lines around content.
The default setting for most uploads will be to include offline viewing as an option, according to a YouTube memo sent to its commercial upload partners obtained by AllThingsD. Uploaders can disable offline mode for their videos during the upload process or once the video is uploaded, and disabling offline viewing has some granular controls including region, asset, and across all the uploader's videos.

You'll soon be able to catch some of your favorite YouTube videos offline, at least on your mobile device.
In November, YouTube will update its mobile apps so that you can download videos to your smartphone or tablet. The video clips will be available to watch for a short period of time, YouTube said in a blog posted Tuesday.
Just how long is a "short period of time?" You'll have up to 48 hours to watch the video, according to a report from AllThingsD.
