Despite its name, the Alcatel One Touch Fierce is anything but "ferocious."
For starters, its 5-megapixel camera takes poor photos, and its quad-core processor lags behind rival phones.
And yes, while the Fierce's competitive $139.99 prepaid price and solid call quality are redeeming factors, it's best just to save up some more dough for a faster, smoother, and more reliable prepaid smartphone like the LG Optimus F3 or Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE.
Design The Fierce comes in two colors, slate and silver, with the latter featuring a nice brushed-metal look that adds a unique … Read more
T-Mobile is getting ready to irk the other wireless carriers again.
The wireless carrier is planning another event on October 9 in New York's Bryant Park to announce "Uncarrier 3.0," or the next part of the company's plan to shake up the wireless industry.
The impact of the first two parts are still being felt. T-Mobile led off by eliminating contracts and moving to a model where customers pay for their own phones in exchange for lower monthly rates. Then T-Mobile offered an early upgrade program called "Jump," which enabled customers to swap … Read more

There's finally some competition in the early phone upgrade program, and that's good news for you.
T-Mobile might have kicked off the trend to let consumers swap out their phones more frequently with "Jump," but it certainly wasn't the last. With Sprint introducing "One Up" last week, there's finally a legitimate alternative out there.
As the No. 3 and No. 4 national carriers, respectively, it's clear why Sprint and T-Mobile are offering up such a good deal: both are eager to pick off customers from larger Verizon Wireless and AT&… Read more
