Netgear announces new high-speed Powerline networking kits
Powerline networking adapters tend to suffer from slow speeds, especially when compared with regular wired Ethernet connections. However that's about to possibly change with two new products from Netgear.
The company announced this week at CeBIT two new HomePlug AV-certified Powerline kits, including the Powerline AV 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5001) and the Powerline AV+ 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5501).

Netgear's Push2TV adapter links Intel's Wireless Display and your TV
LAS VEGAS--The adapter for Intel's just-announced Wireless Display technology is called Push2TV and is being manufactured by Netgear.
As we noted earlier this evening, this WiDi technology will be built into select laptops with 2010 Intel Core processors. A hardware adaptor box that plugs into the HDMI or AV jacks of your monitor or television receives the signal.
Netgear says that the Push2TV box will be bundled together with select WiDi-enabled laptops from Dell, Sony, and Toshiba (such as the Toshiba E205) at Best Buy stores, starting later in January.

Netgear releases two cellular wireless broadband routers
LAS VEGAS--Anticipating the rapid implementation of cellular technologies, including 3G, 4G, and WiMax, Netgear unveiled two new broadband wireless-N routers at CES 2010 that gear toward cellular broadband markets.
The new routers include the 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Wireless-N router (MBRN300) and the Wireless-N 300 Router with DSL Modem-- Mobile Broadband Edition (DGN2200M).
