There's no shortage of Bluetooth headsets here at CES, and the Gennum nx6000 stood out as one of the smallest ones we've seen. Weighing in at only 0.38 ounce, and sporting a more flexible earloop and smaller earpiece, the nx6000 is an improvement from Gennum's previous headset designs. It comes with a mini-USB jack for recharging and as a way to "future-proof" the device, as Gennum plans to enable consumers to download future firmware updates. The nx6000 has a battery strength indicator feature and utilizes Gennum's noise-cancellation technology, which isolates the user's … Read more
Yesterday, CNET TV's Molly Wood gave you a first look of the Samsung SCH-i760 smart phone, and as you'll see from the video, Samsung didn't give too many details about the device. I met with the company today to see if I could weasel any info out of them, but they remained pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing. They did say it will run the Windows Mobile operating system, but they didn't say which version, which leads me to believe that it may run the next-gen OS, Crossbow. Some quick specs listed on a press release … Read more

UTStarcom has a larger-than-life presence here at CES, and the company has a couple of new phones out to go along with it. The UTStarcom CDM8960 and the UTStarcom CDM8935 both made their debut earlier today. Though they're both CDMA clamshell cameraphones, they do have a few notable differences. The CDM8960 measures a thin 3.7 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.8 inch and weighs in at about 3.2 ounces. It is the more multimedia-friendly phone because of its features: a 1.3-megapixel camera, a 262,000-color screen, a microSD card slot, and EV-DO support.

I've never been a big fan of the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet, partly because I just didn't see the point and partly because it seemed like a half-baked product. However, Nokia has released a revamped version of the InterneTablet t at CES 2007, the Nokia N800, and I'm digging it.
Sporting a sleeker and more attractive design, the N800 includes some nice enhancements, such as a built-in Web cam (very cool), a faster processor, a full-screen QWERTY keyboard, and two memory slots. In addition, the device retains many of the features that you've come to love … Read more
Just when we thought Plantronics couldn't improve their Discovery 600 headset series any more, here it comes with a brand new update, the Plantronics Discovery 665, which debuted at CES 2007.
Though it isn't a significant upgrade from the Plantronics Discovery 655, there are a few notable improvements. First, the headset itself is much slimmer and smaller than its predecessor. Second, it is packaged with a new sound-enhancement technology, AudioIQ, which optimizes sound quality on both sides of every call. And third, it comes with a sparkly headset-charging pocket that lights up whenever there's an incoming call. … Read more

Well, there is--the Jabra BT8010, to be released in the next couple months. First, it's a regular, single, over-the-ear Bluetooth earpiece with an OLED display that shows caller ID. You can also transfer up to 30 contacts to the headset in case you don't want to reach for your cell phone to make a call. … Read more
