How to hear the music you've been missing

A device like the 160GB iPod Classic can hold so much music, you could listen continuously for around 75 days and never hear the same song twice*. Of course, nobody does that--and let's not even go into how you scored 160GB of music without spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Project Playlist talks with AOL about investing

Project Playlist is looking for funding and one of the companies the music service spoke to about investing was AOL, multiple sources told CNET.

Whether or not those talks with AOL yielded anything is unclear, but music industry sources said AOL kicked the tires.

"Unfortunately we cannot offer any comments about any potential fund-raising. If we have any news to announce in the near future I will let you know," said Jeremy Riney, Project Playlist's founder, in an e-mail.

An AOL spokeswoman said that the company doesn't comment on rumors and speculation.

LAS VEGAS--Microsoft didn't exactly take our breath away with yesterday's CES 2010 keynote, but we're getting word that Zune HD users will soon have some good news to shout about.

Come Spring, the Zune HD should receive a firmware update providing support for MPEG-4 part 2 Advanced Simple Profile videos, including the torrent junkie's format of choice, XviD.
