LAS VEGAS--With Windows Phone 7, we've spent a lot of time waiting.

We started by waiting for Microsoft to upgrade from the stodgy Windows Mobile. Then, we waited for the first Windows Phone 7 (WP7) handsets before waiting again for decent apps. And finally, once we had all of those things we waited for WP7 to really take off.

Microsoft could help Nokia sell 37 million phones in 2012

Betting heavily on Microsoft to revive its fortunes, Nokia is in a position to sell as many as 37 million Windows Phone handsets this year and 64 million in 2013, says a Morgan Stanley report cited by AllThingsD.

Of course, much of that forecast depends on just how hard Microsoft will work to promote its partnership with Nokia.

LAS VEGAS--The Consumer Electronics Show is the big coming-out party for the U.S. launch of Nokia's new Windows Phone smartphones.

On the CES stage Monday afternoon here, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said the handset maker will start selling the Lumia 710, which Nokia introduced in December, with T-Mobile USA on Wednesday. Nokia lures photographers with new Lumia 900

Nokia used the Consumer Electronics Show to hold a coming-out party for its new phone: the Lumia 900.

It's based on the Windows Phone platform, will use AT&T's 4G LTE network, and boasts a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen that's designed for rich media experiences, the company said at a launch event today in Las Vegas. (By comparison, the Apple iPhone's screen size is 3.5 inches.)

AT&T strikes first with 4G LTE Windows Phones from Nokia, HTC

LAS VEGAS--AT&T customers, rejoice! The carrier just announced that the first 4G LTE Windows Phone smartphones are headed to the U.S. in the first half of the year.

LAS VEGAS--The Nokia Lumia 900 Ace is expected to make its debut today at CES 2012. The LTE-ready Windows Phone device for AT&T might be one of the worst-kept secrets with details leaking ahead of the show.
