Return of the $149.99 Xbox 360 Premium
The last time I posted a $149.99 Xbox 360 Premium, it was chock full of gotchas: no headset, pricey shipping, iffy vendor, etc. Well, here's a mostly gotcha-free alternative: TigerDirect has refurbished Xbox 360 Premium systems for $149.99, plus a Web-special $1.99 for shipping.
Because it's a refurb, the warranty expires after 90 days. Also, this is the non-HDMI version of the 360, but look at the bright side: no HDMI cable to buy. (It comes with component-video cables, natch.)
Act fast: I guarantee you these will sell out. That's all I've got; … Read more
Nyko Wing reviewed: Better than the Nintendo original
We've just posted our review of the highly anticipated Nyko Wing Wireless Classic Controller for use with the Nintendo Wii. Since the console's launch, owners of the system have had only one choice for universal compatibility with all Virtual Console games.
While the Nintendo Classic Controller has been a satisfactory accessory for retro-game enthusiasts, the Wing improves upon the design in almost every regard. Gamers not only have a wireless solution (unlike the Nintendo original), but a more comfortable and practical design.
Read our full review to find out why this is the only controller you'll need … Read more

Get a free LG Shine phone and Xbox 360 Arcade with two-year AT&T agreement
From the Seems Too Good to Be True Dept. comes an intriguing offer: Wireless reseller LetsTalk is offering a free Xbox 360 Arcade console when you purchase an LG Shine phone (also free) and new 2-year AT&T service agreement. Catches? Yeah, there are a couple, but they're surprisingly minor.
Let's start with the phone. The LG Shine is a nice little slider that CNET rated 3.5 stars. It features quad-band and 3G support and a 2-megapixel camera, and it works with AT&T's nifty video-streaming service. The real plus is that you're … Read more
Pick up a PlayStation 3 for $339.99 shipped
This one's for you, MakaiOokami: Sony PlayStation 3 deals are few and far between, but Dell is currently selling PS3s for $339.99 shipped (with coupon code PWXNZVNDRWWX1P, which expires October 29 or after 3,000 uses). This isn't some old refurb, either: It's a new PS3 with an 80GB hard drive.
Needless to say, the PS3 is a killer gaming console, notable not just for state-of-the-art graphics and gaming but also for doubling as a Blu-ray player. I'll cop to being an Xbox 360 and Wii guy myself, but some of the stuff I've … Read more
