Apple's chief executive was the highest-paid CEO during 2011, according to a study put out by the Wall Street Journal and the Hay Group consulting firm earlier today.

Cook was granted a pay package worth $378 million after becoming Apple's chief executive last August. Though as the Journal notes, there are some serious strings attached.

The stock grant, which was unveiled in a January proxy filing, had restrictions that keep Cook from collecting the first half of the shares until 2016, with the other half in 2021. Nonetheless, Apple's stock price at the time they were valued … Read more

Paging Mr. Zuckerberg: Pinstripe hoodie perfect for tech CEOs

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's attire has been dissected almost as much as a "Project Runway" contestant's. He got a smackdown from Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter for showing up to a meeting with potential investors while wearing a hoodie.

Perhaps a hoodie is one step too far on the casual scale. Maybe it goes beyond even the laid-back nature of the Steve Jobs' turtleneck, at least as far as some buttoned-down Wall Street types are concerned.

There's now a solution that should make everybody happy. Betabrand's Executive Pinstripe Hoodie is here to blur the lines between professional and comfortable. … Read more

Let Schrodinger's cat answer all your questions

Bringing Schrodinger's cat thought experiment to real life would get you put on PETA's naughty list. Avoid that complication with the Schrodinger's Cat Executive Decision Maker.

No actual cats were harmed in the creation of ThinkGeek's $30 decision maker. What you do get is a plastic device with a sliding door. Ask a yes-or-no question, open the door, and watch as the cat goes into flux. A dead cat means "no." A live cat means "yes." … Read more
