In the first of two special videos from the San Diego Comic-Con, CNET TV's Brian Tong talks one-on-one with the living embodiment of the convention, director Joss Whedon. They discuss the Avengers movie, the new direction for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and how music can help you find a happy place.

The Dark Knight rises in Lego form

A skilled Lego hobbyist has pieced together a detailed monument to The Dark Knight in time for Comic-Con in San Diego.

Flickr member "Orion Pax" (Alex Schranz) gave CNET and Crave permission to share his Batcave creation. Schranz reports that he "terminated" between 8,000 and 9,000 parts to build the cave.

In other words, the bricks in question are committed to this one-of-a-kind build. Lego Batman's lair stands on a 40-studs square base, 68 standard bricks high. If you don't know the size of a standard Lego brick, what in Gotham did you spend your childhood doing?

Schranz installed a neon lamp behind the scene for its moody lighting, and he took these photos with a Canon EOS 1000D. The entire project took about one week to finish.

"I always felt like doing something with all the collected Batman (Lego pieces)," Schranz said. "I'm working on a new piece now, and it should be done in a week or so."

The force is strong with this Xbox 360 'Star Wars' bundle

While we were less than thrilled with the Kinect Star Wars demo at E3 2011, we're pretty sure this sweet R2-D2-inspired Xbox 360 will sell.

Announced today at Comic-Con 2011, the Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Bundle will include the custom console with a 320GB HDD, a copy of Kinect Star Wars and Kinect Adventures, a white Kinect sensor, a gold C-3PO-inspired wireless controller, a wired headset, and exclusive downloadable content.

Microsoft formally announced Kinect Star Wars at E3 2011 and demonstrated lightsaber gameplay and force movements. Our own demo netted some awkward results that left an overall stale impression, but we're still eager to see the final product--whenever that may be. The big news today along with the bundle is that podracing will also be a game mode as well.

There's no release date yet for the bundle either, but it'll go for $450. That's not a bad deal if you're starting completely from scratch.

Road rage much? If you've got a Garmin, you can now get your Force freak on with Darth Vader as your co-pilot.

About a year after TomTom, Star Wars characters have come to Garmin navigation devices starting with the Sith Lord himself.

Available for $12.99 from Spot It Out's GPS App Shop, Garmin.com, and Best Buy, the Vader voice package features directions such as "You have reached your destination, impressive, most impressive" and "Traffic ahead. The Emperor has foreseen it."

I bet he didn't foresee Carmageddon.

Parts of the "Star Wars" score are thrown in, as well as TIE fighter and lightsaber sound effects.

Check out the demo below. I don't know who does the voice work, but the TomTom version sounds a little more evil. … Read more
