AT&T subscribers will be able to pick up Samsung's Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone for just under a buck.
The carrier announced Wednesday that it will offer the smaller version of the Galaxy S3 for 99 cents starting Friday, September 27. That price requires the usual two-year agreement. Eager buyers can preorder the phone via AT&T's Web site starting this Thursday, September 19.

Pricing is listed at $199 due up front with 24 monthly payments of $21 through the carrier's Simple Choice Plans, for a total of $703 altogether.

According to unnamed sources, the next version of Samsung's smartwatch will offer GPS, improved battery life, and support for a greater array of Android devices. Samsung is going 64-bit too. But when?
Apple drew plenty of oohs and aahs this week when it revealed the first 64-bit chip for smartphones on Tuesday.
"Not in the shortest time. But yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality," Samsung's mobile business chief Shin Jong-kyun told the Korea Times on Wednesday.
Samsung's Galaxy Gear is the latest smartwatch to attempt to crack the code on wearable computers. It is loaded with sensors and a camera, and has the brief battery life of a smartphone.
