Nissan showed us it could make a supercar with the GT-R, and followed up with the 370Z as an everyday sports car. Now the company gives its Maxima sedan a sports treatment, letting the 3.5-liter V-6 sound off with a musical exhaust note and respond quickly to throttle input. Rounding it out, the Maxima gets cabin tech that includes iPod integration and hard drive-based navigation.
STUTTGART, Germany--Smart wants to get more passengers into its ForTwo minicar. "By varying the wheelbase length of the current midengine platform, we could develop additional models, with 2+1 or 2+2 seating," said Anders-Sundt Jensen, head of the Daimler subsidiary.
The German magazine auto motor und sport reports that Smart will introduce its next-generation family of models at the 2010 Geneva auto show. The magazine reports that variants with names such as the ForOne, ForThree, and ForFour are being discussed.

Once seated in its spacious cabin, we found even more to like about the Venza, including an impressive cabin tech package that features Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming and a clever center console cable-management system that had us all asking, "Why didn't I think of that?"

This challenge, of course, will not apply to accidents on the streets when the three-wheeled aerodynamic vehicle hits California's congested highways in October.
The hands-on exercise demonstrates the vehicle's inherent safety, and is an attempt to overcome the perception that a small, lightweight, three-wheeled vehicle isn't as safe as a conventional gas-fueled car. … Read more
