Facebook's 200-plus million members will be able to customize the URLs to their profiles starting at midnight Eastern on Saturday, according to a post on the Facebook blog. Currently, users' profile URLs have been structured as a string of numbers. At least for now, it doesn't look like the switch is mandatory.

All Things D has posted a mock video ad featuring Palm's executive chairman Jon Rubinstein and major Palm investor Roger McNamee. For those who don't get the gag, McNamee is the guy who famously expressed a little too much enthusiasm for the Pre, forcing Palm to distance itself from his boastful remarks, some of which were deemed inaccurate. In the video, Rubinstein is shown trying to reign Roger in.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--In one of the more anticipated chats at D: All Things Digital, Palm Executive Chairman Jon Rubinstein showed off the Palm Pre and talked about several features of the smartphone for the first time.
