Back in the heady summer days of rampant Moto X rumors, there was some talk that the first phone to come from the mind meld of a Google-owned Motorola might come with a brand-spanking-new version of Android.
Alas, it was not to be, and the Moto X launched with Jelly Bean. Later we were introduced to the merging of sweet mobile software and random branding synergy that is Android 4.4 KitKat on the Nexus 5. … Read more
Google's inexpensive, new Android phones mean the company has a real chance at transforming the wireless industry -- something it attempted to do nearly four years ago with the Nexus One.
In October, the company released the Nexus 5, a top-end phone built by LG Electronics that has a remarkably low price of $349 for a 16GB model -- unlocked and with no contract. On Wednesday, Google announced the Moto G, which costs $179 for an 8GB model, also unlocked and off contract. … Read more
Motorola's Moto X brightened up our lives with its color options, its decent lineup of specs, and its reasonable price tag. As a US-only phone however, it was a bit of a letdown for those of us living outside of America.
Motorola's new Moto G brings a nearly identical design, a host of colors, a 720p 4.5-inch display, and a ludicrously cheap price tag.
It will start at $179 for the 8GB model or $199 for 16GB of storage. In the UK, the Moto G will be available … Read more
The Moto X is slowly but surely gaining some ground in the mobile space.
Chitika, an online ad network that services tens of millions of ad impressions across North America, revealed on Tuesday that Motorola's Moto X has watched its share of overall Motorola device Web traffic jump from 1.2 percent in early October to 1.8 percent at the end of last month. Though that is by no means massive growth, Chitika points out that its popularity seems to be steadily rising.
Motorola released the Moto X in August, and it arguably sits at the top end … Read more

Cellular provider Republic Wireless, best known for offering $19-per-month service with low-end Android handsets, recently announced plans to carry the Motorola Moto X, a decidedly high-end handset (and a widely loved one at that). Although the $19 plan is no more, you can operate the Moto for as little as $5 per month, or as much as $40. Additional options fall in between.
Too good to be true? Or bargain of the century? Over the weekend I was able to put the Moto X through some preliminary paces. Though I did encounter a few bumps along the way, I was … Read more
Sure the Moto X isn't the most powerful Android handset money can buy. Neither is it a big-screen mobile monster like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Nor is the Moto X equipped with a ridiculously high-capacity battery … Read more

Eagle-eyed observers on Monday discovered that the Amazon UK site had listed the Moto G on preorder and available for delivery on November 14. The listing, which has since been removed, didn't mention the Moto G by name, but does show the model number that's believed to correspond to the Moto G.
The listing was first discovered by Pocket-lint.
