As you know, I check out the iPhone app lists every day on my iPhone and at the iTunes Store. As I look for cool new apps, I find it interesting to see what moves to the top of the most popular lists every week and for what type of programs people are willing to pay money. Apple has released iTunes 8.0.1, a significant update to the media playback/purchase, and device synchronization tool.
Among the enhancements in this release:Seamlessly plays the current song when creating a new Genius playlist. Improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano. Addresses an issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading. Improves checking for updates from the App Store Improves accessibility with VoiceOver. Addresses problems syncing Genius results to iPod.
The new release is available through Software Update or Apple's iTunes page.

I picked up the iPhone 3G yesterday. Maybe "picked up" is a little too light and airy for what happened--it's more like I slogged through a 3-hour line along with several other iPhone fans with waning patience and sore feet, dying to get their hands on Apple's latest device.
