For many of us, the video below of Matthew Gough falling 1,000 feet after his parachute malfunctioned during a BASE jump is like watching a common nightmare brought to life.
Remarkably, the video bears even more similarities to that horrible falling dream than first meets the eye, in that in the end, everything -- including 25-year-old Gough himself -- is just fine.
This ambitious game tries to give you a console or PC-like RPG experience on your Android device. In some ways, it succeeds. However, unlike the story, the gameplay in Time Travel Heroes needs more work to be completely fun on most gadgets. If you don't mind repetitive battle sequences, you might enjoy this game.
You need to register with the game in order to play. Luckily, you don't have to hand over your e-mail address to get to the action. Once you're inside the game, it has a very busy environment for you to click and touch. … Read more
The Bible goes mobile with Bible Heroes Noah and the Ark. This colorful app does the storytelling for you: a voice reads aloud a child-friendly version of Noah and the Ark. It includes a few other fun features, but you'll have to pay for better selection.
Bible Heroes Noah and the Ark opens with a colorful homepage featuring Noah front and center. There, you have three options: Read, Color, and Sing. I've had a lot of great adventures producing Always On, but I've had a lifelong dream to see a space shuttle launch, and with this show, I got to get pretty close: I flew down to Cape Canaveral to watch the Falcon 9 rocket blast off with the Dragon cargo capsule on board. It was, as you might imagine, a pretty spectacular sight: and a pretty exciting start to the future of privatized space flight.

Some of our favorite iOS games are the ones that focus on simplicity when it comes to gameplay and design. Shopping Cart Hero 3 is such a game. It involves sending a little stick-figure-like guy down a hill in a shopping cart and scoring points for making successful jumps and landings. Despite the simple premise, it was surprisingly challenging and super addictive.
Before jumping into Shopping Cart Hero 3, you can click on the question mark to find out which motions to use to play the game. You can practice as much as you like to get the hang of … Read more
You've probably seen dudes on TV making Evel Knievel-style jumps in shopping carts, usually preceded (and followed) by disclaimers telling you not to try this yourself. That's good advice, especially since you can get a decent thrill without actually risking your one and only neck just by playing MonkeyWantBanana's Shopping Cart Hero 3 on your Android smartphone. While it sounds like a shopping game, it's actually a jumper, and the whole idea is to make the longest and most elaborate jump possible. The game involves a stick figure pushing a shopping cart downhill, jumping in, and … Read more
