The company introduced four new models to its Motomobile line at CTIA 2007--all offering chic designs at an affordable price. The quartet includes:Motorola W218: A sleek candy bar-style GSM handset that offers all the basics, plus a VGA camera and FM radio. Motorola W360: Another slim bar GSM phone with an emphasis on music capabilities. The company calls it a "multimedia device for the masses." The 360 has MP3 ringtones, an FM radio, 5MB … Read more

Though we've seen the LG VX8700 at the LG booth at CTIA, we weren't allowed official information about all the important carrier details--despite the glaringly obvious "Verizon" logo emblazoned on its front surface. However, Verizon has finally let the cat out of the bag and officially announced that, yes, it will indeed carry the LG VX8700 in its lineup. This means that in addition to all the multimedia goodness already in the handset (a 2.0-megapixel camera, a music player, and a video recorder, just for starters), the VX8700 will also support V Cast video and … Read more
BlueAnt is an Australian company specializing in Bluetooth products, and it has been slowly making a name for itself in the American marketplace as well. We've even reviewed several of its more popular headsets, the X3 Micro and the T8 Micro for example. Well, the company has released a new Bluetooth speakerphone at CTIA this week, called the BlueAnt Supertooth Light, a Bluetooth speakerphone to be used in the car for easier hands-free driving. A full-duplex, high-performance speaker with clear voice capture and noise cancellation, it is designed to fit neatly onto your car's visor. It has a … Read more
LG has made great strides with their music phones, integrating stereo Bluetooth into most of its recent music-playing handsets. As a result, the company debuted a Bluetooth stereo speaker that will pair up nicely with them, acting as a cool, portable speaker that you can bring around on trips. The LG MSB-100 Bluetooth stereo speaker is a smart-looking device, with a glossy-black finish paired with milky-white accents. Not only can you use to blast your tunes, you can also use it as a speakerphone for conference calls. It will be available in May this year for around $120.
UTStarcom has unveiled a third phone at CTIA today, which is in addition to the CDM-7026 and the CDM-7076 phones announced earlier this week. Described as an ultra-thin candybar handset, it was nowhere to be found at the UTStarcom booth yesterday, but we did get word that it is unofficially titled the UTStarcom PCS1450. An upgrade to the UTStarcom PCS1400 (otherwise known as the Virgin Mobile Slice), the PCS1450 maintains the same super-slim lightweight profile as its predecessor but amps it up with two additional features: a VGA camera and Bluetooth support. We'll try to get an image of … Read more
The opening day of the CTIA show in Orlando was a little quieter than in past years but Crave still found plenty of new and note-worthy products on the show floor. Though the iPhone made only a brief appearance we caught glimpse of several new cell phones, smart phones and accessories.
Cell phones Besides complete photo galleries of the new cell phones from such companies as Sony Ercisson, Nokia, Kyocera, LG and Pantech, I caught the announcement from Alcatel that the company is entering the North American cell phone market for the first time and saw a number of cool … Read more
Puzzle Quest is one of the scariest games I've seen in years. I'm no stranger to game addictions. I've been on and off World of Warcraft three times now (permanently off now; I'm not getting the expansion and don't like raiding), and have been hooked on everything from Oblivion to Zelda. Puzzle Quest offers the kind of nightmarish addictive powers I haven't seen since Tetris DS and Lumines. I have no idea why, but there's just something compelling about shuffling around blocks to get points.
Bejeweled is one of the archetypical puzzle games. … Read more
Hewlett-Packard's Digital Entertainment Center (DEC) systems are getting taken out in a pine box. We give credit to HP for taking a chance on this niche market--it was the only mainstream vendor to sell an A/V-style living-room PC--and we generally liked the DEC systems we saw over the years, including the last model we tested, the DEC z560. The systems were attractive, well designed, and much more affordable than systems from boutique Media Center vendors such as Creature and Niveus.
We're not surprised that HP decided to kill off the DEC line, however, because mainstream consumers never … Read more
If you have $3000 burning a hole in your pocket and are looking for a hot new lawn decoration that won't need to be replaced with seasonal changes (unless you're that weirdo who keeps the inflatable Santa up all year round), man, you are going to love hearing this. Someone is making these 5-foot-tall Super Mario figures, previously only sold to retailers, available to the average consumer. (Well, the average consumer with an extra $3000 on hand.) Now, you can have a Mario of your very own.
Imagine the possibilities! They could upstage your wacky neighbor's lawn … Read more
