iPhone and iPhone 3G users hit a roadblock last week trying to login to Exchange 2007 servers after upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1.

Apple said Tuesday it has snagged Intel's general counsel to assume the same role in its corporate offices.

Bruce Sewell has worked at Intel since 1995--his most recent role as that company's legal chief and a senior vice president. At Intel, Sewell was responsible for managing corporate policies and hundreds of lawyers in more than 30 countries. Sewell will also serve as a senior vice president at Apple.

Apple stands to gain a lot from a new draft of rules that governs how companies recognize revenue from subscriptions, as Fortune noted. Apple is wasting little time in expanding the reach of the iPhone in China.

Just two weeks after signing a deal with China Unicom, Apple is once again in talks with rival China Mobile to offer the iPhone as well.

China Mobile Chairman Wang Jianzhou confirmed that his company is in talks with Apple to offer the iPhone, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal on Monday. Unlike in some countries, like the United States, where carrier agreements tend to be exclusive, the deal with China Unicom is nonexclusive.

Apple on Thursday released a relatively minor update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard that fixes an issue users had with the operating system that downgraded them to an older version of Adobe Systems' Flash Player.

When Apple released Snow Leopard on August 28, it included an older version of Adobe's Flash plug-in that was known to have security issues. Sophos security expert Graham Cluley warned users of the downgrade and urged anyone who installed the operating system to upgrade immediately.
