Yahoo's OneSearch is a streamlined search for mobile devices. It returns results specific to your location, which is handy when you're on a mobile. You can also check your Yahoo Mail and get news, sports scores, stocks, weather, and directions.
The site is optimized for Web browsers on small devices. And for users who don't want to use up precious data just to get to the search box, there's an SMS front end to the service.

ShoZu focuses exclusively on mobile upload utilities. It makes it easy to post video and photos from your cell phone to whatever site you want to use. ShoZu's mobile app lets you post directly to your Flickr account, as well as to Webshots (a CNET company), Textamerica, or Buzznet.
The sweet thing about the ShoZu architecture is that once you've uploaded a picture once, you can easily earmark it for delivery to a different service. You don't have to upload it again, because it's already stored on the ShoZu servers.
ShoZu is a cell phone application. To use it, you'll need one of the 48 ShoZu-compatible handsets.

Radar is designed specifically for swapping camera-phone photos around with your friends, an activity that is growing more and more common in today's mobile world. Radar assigns you a unique e-mail address that you can use from your computer or your mobile phone to send pictures to the service. Your photos are then shared with all your Radar "friends," who can access their accounts from either their computers or their cell phones.
One interesting aspect is that Radar is completely private. There are no social-networking features so that other users can find you: it allows you to share photos just with people you already know.

TellMe is a dead-simple 411 service. It's actually two-services. One is a voice-controlled directory service that lets you search for business listings using a free 800 number. The other--and more compelling--use is its mobile app. Once they've downloaded it, users can it to look up businesses on a map, get directions, and keep track of any previous searches they might have made, which are saved in a temporary history folder. While the 800 service is free, the mobile app uses data, so make sure you have a data plan before racking up charges.
Microsoft acquired TellMe earlier in the year.

Mundu Radio is a service that lets you listen to radio stations on your mobile phone. We're not talking normal radio though--Mundu works with Internet radio stations. Users can create their own playlists of favorite stations and access them from anywhere with a data connection, either through their provider's network or the handset's integrated Wi-Fi.
Mundu Radio works with most phones that run on Windows Mobile, Pocket PC, Palm, and Symbian. The developers are also working on making a Java version that will run on "nonsmart" handsets. While the audio quality of these radio streams isn't quite up to par with their desktop brethren, Mundu Radio is a handy way to access news and talk radio stations on your phone, even if they're from halfway across the globe.

3Jam allows you to send reply-all text messages to a group of your friends. There are a number of different ways to use it. On a basic level, you can start reply-all groups by simply texting 3Jam's number. Alternatively, you can use a downloadable app or the company's mobile Web site. You invite some friends, they join in, and poof! You've got a text-message party.
If you're trying to get in touch with a group of friends to plan an impromptu night out or an afternoon Frisbee match, this could be a good idea. But it's always good to keep in mind that there are still plenty of folks out there who are paying 10 cents per text message and might not appreciate spending several extra bucks by getting roped into a reply-all texting spree.

This service was introduced earlier this year as a way to access Google search results on your mobile phone. It's the equivalent of dialing 411, but it's free and really fast, and it pulls multiple listings like the ones you'd get from a search in Google local. Mobile phone users can get listings sent to their phone via SMS, including telephone numbers and full addresses. You can also be connected to a business for free.
The entire service runs off voice-recognition technology. If that fails, you can dial in the name of the business you're looking for. The one thing still missing is residential listings, but otherwise it's a really handy service that's worth putting on your mobile phone's speed dial.

Google's mobile version of Gmail is a streamlined version of its full-featured sibling. Users can view and search through their in-box, and even open up attachments such as images, office documents, and PDFs. There are actually two versions of Gmail for mobile phones--one is just the URL, and another is a Java app that will run on any phone that can handle that type of application.
Gmail's mobile interface isn?t flashy, but like its desktop brethren, it makes use of keypad shortcuts that can make navigating and corralling your e-mail a little easier on your phone?s limited keypad.
